Aims of Phoenix Stem Cell Foundation for Human Life
Main aims of Phoenix Stem Cell Foundation are to sustain scientific research on stem cells and to translate its results to clinics in order to impact on human health. The Foundation will:
promote translational research in the area of stem cells: from basal research to clinics;
promote, realize and financially support cultural activities, manifestations, scientific conferences, meetings and workshops in the area of biotechnologies, biomedicine, biology, physiology, pathology, pharmacology and related clinics;
organize stages, apprenticeships and alternative forms of training in the areas of stem cell biology and pathology, and relevant clinical applications. This will be done in collaboration with relevant national and international associations, establishments and societies;
promote and finance cultural and scientific relationships with departments and institutes of national and international universities;
set up, promote and support financially PhD projects and scholarships in stem cell biomedicine and biotechnologies;
give support to other bodies and associations acting in the camp of stem cells;
promote and realize editorial initiatives employing all available media (printed, informatics, audiovisual etc), preserving or not the copyrights;
provide for publication, distribution, conservation and guardianship of research projects, works, papers, reviews and patents
provide technical-scientific material of particular interest to research departments of universities or other public and private bodies.
In order to achieve the above indicated aims, the Foundation will be able to:
draw up any opportune contract, also for the financing of the deliberate operations, such as taking loans and mortgages, both short and long term, purchasing of, directly or as third person, real estate, to draw up agreements of any type even transcribed in public registers, with public or private bodies, which are considered opportune and useful in order to achieve the aims of the Foundation;
organize any event and/or works, integrating with national or international organizations and institutions sharing common interests;
administer and manage assets of propriety, tenancy, or acquired in any other mode;
gather founds from direct or indirect realization of structures, operations and services. as described in this Statute;
participate in associations, foundations, private or public bodies and institutions, with activities involving, directly or indirectly, analogous scopes. If considered opportune, the Foundation will be able to participate in establishment of such bodies;
set up or participate in financial societies that develop instrumental exclusive ways to pursue the statutory aims;
promote, organize and pursue seminars, improvement courses, manifestations, congresses, concerts, meetings, proceeding publication of relevant acts or documents, and all relating initiatives to favour the contacts between Foundation, the national and international operators, related employees and general public;
establish prizes, scholarships, cultural exchange;
invent and develop projects also for third parties;
set up conventions to rent to third party some of the activities;
carry out, as secondary activity, instrumental to develop the institutional aims and commercial activities, involving audio-visual and editorial sector, within the existing legal limits;
carry out any other activity supporting the institutional aims.
